My word of the year for 2026 is chosen. I like it. My husband heard I’d made my choice and he likes it, too! So we have a “shared” WotY and that feels like the alignment I prayed for most of last year.
Embodiment turns intention into presence. When you embody something, you’re no longer trying to be it. You are it.
It moves from aspiration to atmosphere — the way a scent fills a room without effort. That’s magic.
Embodiment feels like dissolving the gap between who you are and who you’re becoming. Most of us live with a subtle distance between our inner truth and our outer life.
To consciously embody themes that define one’s soul longing closes that distance.
It’s the difference between, “I’m trying to be creative” and “I move through the world as someone who creates.”
That shift is subtle, but it changes everything.
For me to truly embody my beliefs and dreams in my being, my posture, my every day choices, the tone of my thoughts and words — is to align with the deeper self I’ve been nurturing internally, yet not fully living.
This powerful one year is the perfect time to set the foundation for the next nine-year cycle. This is the year I’ll embody the devotee, the yogi, the artist, the author, the partner, the pianist…
It’s a powerful word in a powerful year and it’s manifesting even as I type!
I’ve not written in my blog for more than five years! This is me embodying the author.
And there you have it.
